2018 iWarriors 5K Freedom Run Recap
On Sunday July 23, 2018 Westminster Tool hosted our 4th Annual iWarriors 5K Freedom Run and are pleased to share the results of our fundraising efforts. For runners and walkers, click here to download this year’s results with race times.
iWarriors is a non-profit organization that provides iPad Packages for wounded soldiers from all branches of the US Armed Forces. 98.5% of all donations received by iWarriors go directly to the iPad program. Since its foundation in 2010 – iWarriors has raised over $150,000 to support more than 250 injured and recovering wounded soldiers.
Westminster Tool’s goal was to raise $7,000 – $2,000 more than we did in 2017. Thanks to our 130 registered runners and walkers and our generous sponsors we were able to donate $10,000 this year! While the weather for race day was far from perfect (70 degrees and pouring rain), the day was more successful than ever. Thank you again to all of our runners, walkers and volunteers for coming out to participate in the rain. For race day images check out our Facebook album.
Westminster Tool would like to recognize our #1 fundraising team (pictured below) – Wepco Plastics! Between their donations and race registrations they raised $1,150! Thank you so much for your support!
We would also like to take a moment to thank our generous sponsors for making the event possible, and for helping us to surpass our fundraising goal! Below is a complete list of this year’s sponsors.
Last, but certainly not least, we would like to thank Alliance Specialties and Laser Sales for providing our awesome, unique race medals!
Our company cannot thank the community enough for their support – we are passionate about the cause and feel so blessed to be able to give back to a well deserving group of individuals. Save the date for next year’s race – July 21st 2019.
