Mold and Production Cell Qualification

When an injection mold or complete production cell leaves Westminster Tool it needs to be production ready. In 2009 Westminster Tool recognized the importance of having this capability in house and opened its Technology Center along with adding the technical staff and equipment to provide injection mold and work cell qualification services. Typically every Customer has different mold qualification requirements. These are reviewed with our engineering staff and molding technicians prior to the trial and are qualified in our proposal to the customer. Our project management staff insures that all customer processing requirements are communicated and met prior to shipment of the mold or cell. From simple functional testing to a scientific molding process, Westminster Tool can provide full mold qualification services.

By offering the integration of mold, machine and auxiliary equipment at our facility, a project can be fully tested, without interruptions, prior to shipment into a customer's facility. We can also offer integration of your injection molding press and perform trials, mold qualification and establish all processing parameters, then ship the complete work cell to your molding facility.

At Westminster Tool’s Technology Center we utilize state-of-the-art injection molding machinery (capacities of up to 250 (US) Tons at this time) and equipment to qualify our molds prior to delivery to our customer.

Pre-Production Molding
If desired, we can also provide pre-production molding for our customers in order to allow customers to meet requirements for automation, assembly, and preliminary production needs. Our molding department is capable of 24/7 operation for extended periods of time to meet your urgent supply requirements. Space is also available for specialized molding machines and assembly equipment.
